MULTI-PORT VALVE POSITIONS

FILTER - Normal filtration, water recirculated


BACKWASH - Reverses flow, cleans filter, water to drain


RINSE - Rinses and settles sand, water to drain


WASTE - Bypasses filter, water to drain


RECIRCULATE - Bypasses filter, water recirculated


CLOSED - Shuts off flow to filter

FILTERING CYCLE


Turn pump OFF and position handle to "FILTER".

Start pump and note pressure reading.

Operate in the "FILTER" position until the pressure increases 30 kPa then backwash the filter.


BACKWASHING FILTER


Turn pump OFF and position handle to "BACKWASH".

Start pump and operate for 60 seconds or until the
water is clear in discharge sight glass.

Turn pump OFF and position handle to "RINSE".

Start pump and operate for 30 seconds.

Turn pump OFF, position handle to "FILTER".

Start pump, check clean filter pressure and resume Filtration Cycle.


USE WITH POOL CLEANERS


Disconnect Pool Cleaner when backwashing the Filter.
